I love to take pictures of my children, but I was fresh out of ideas. Then I saw some information on a new workshop “Finding the Joy”. This workshop got me out of my picture taking rut! The workshop was filled with lots of new ideas. It was also filled with lots of great tutorials, photoshop templates, and videos. I learned to focus on capturing the everyday moments. Here are some of my pictures from the workshop…

I Was In A Rut…
Tuesday, August 17th, 2010Mr. Bue Eyes and Response to a Blog Challenge
Wednesday, August 11th, 2010Willette Designs issued a Blog Challenge today. The challenge is to photograph your loved one’s eyes. I love taking pictures of my kids’ gorgeous eyes. I also love it when I get great focus and catchlights. Their eyes just sparkle. I went through a phase where I would over-process their eyes in photoshop. I look back now and think, “Wow, my kids were rockin some alien eyes.” I’m beginning to learn less is more these days. So without further ado. Baby C and his baby blues with no enhancements. Good exposure + Great Catchlights + Good Focus = My little man rockin his blue eyes for his Mama!

Another fun idea!
Thursday, August 5th, 2010While this is not as cool, fun, or crude as the fart machine, it works. I am borrowing this idea from the extremely talented Maggie Holmes. My kids went gaga over these bottles of Orange Crush.
I found a 6 pack of these at our local grocery store, Publix.
My kids had a blast when I brought these little bottles out. I was even able to capture a great shot of the two of them together, smiling!!!
I couldn’t get Elizabeth to take the straw out of her mouth. Oh Well! We all had fun!
Until next time…
